EAC product certification is a certification system carried out in accordance with the current rules of the technical regulation system of the Customs Union of the Russian Federation and organized according to state standards.
What Is EAC Product Certification?
The Customs Union Certificate of Conformity (EAC Certificate) is an official document confirming that the quality of products complies with the approved regulations within the Customs Union territory.
The EAC Customs Union certificate can be issued for a single batch or for serial production. The EAC Certificate is issued on a batch basis, or for periods of 1, 3 and 5 years. The EAC Customs Union certificate of conformity is the easiest way to enter the markets of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan at the same time. Single-use (batch-based) certificate: In this case, a Russian importing company that purchases the products from the client in Russia is required. This importing company buys goods from you under a contract, and these goods, in a specified quantity, can be sold with this certificate. The certificate shows the place of production, the importing company, the classification HS code (G.T.İ.P) numbers of the goods, and the date and number of the main contract. Such certificates are valid only once, in the name of a specific Russian company, for products whose quantity and type are specified on the certificate.
- 1-year serial production EAC certificate: These are certificates issued for a period of 1 year based only on samples and documents, without an expert visit. These certificates are issued for serial production and serve the same function as 3-year certificates.
- 3-5-year EAC serial production certificate: These are documents obtained for serial production, covering a period of 3 or 5 years, with an expert visit. Documents obtained in this way are valid for customs procedures of all shipments to be made during the 3 or 5 years, and also in places where a declaration is mandatory in the domestic market of the Eurasian countries.
The time to obtain the certificate varies by product but is between 5 and 20 business days.
